How to Create Height and Depth in Your Figure Display
Share
Height and depth help turn a flat display into something lively. This is what is at the heart of Figure Floor. Figures arranged on a single level tend to blend together, but a few layers make everything easier to see. Not to mention, if you add more than two rows, figures start to get lost in the mix. Especially if they are all in similar attire!
Use the different height blocks to lift key characters. Placing leaders, larger figures, or central poses on higher blocks creates natural focus points. With the Figure Floor system you can do this. For example having a evil leader figure on a level 3 block in line with their minions all on Level 2 blocks. Finish this all up behind a row of 'heroes' on level 1 blocks. The natural focus will shift to the character on the Level 3 block.
Depth is just as important and that is why we offer 6 levels in 3.75" and 4 levels in 6". This allows you to use as much of the depth as possible. Need a little bit more? Then use boosters on any of the blocks to add another level to your display.
The Figure Floor Modular blocks make this really simple to achieve. You can build wide platforms at the front and narrow steps at the back. Because each piece can move independently, you can test layouts until the display feels right.
Small height changes add more drama than you might expect. It’s a subtle shift that makes the whole collection feel balanced.
