Behind the Design: How Figure Floor Was Created

Figure Floor began as a simple idea. Most collectors want displays that look clean but still allow freedom to change layouts whenever inspiration strikes. Standard stands didn’t offer that, and custom shelves were often too big or too fixed.

With the increasing number of action figures being released and shelf space becoming tight, the need to constantly search for a suitable display base was becoming a hobby in itself! Not to mention with the rise of prices a lot of collectors where scaling back collections or opting to sell off older figures in order to purchase new ones. Meaning that collectors were stuck with displays and risers that no longer were needed.

The solution was a modular system that felt natural. Blocks that interlock from every side. Risers that stack without wobbling. A layout that can be flat one day and tiered the next. Something that would help collectors shape their displays rather than limit them. Something that would grow with a collection or shrink with a scale back.

Each piece was tested to make sure figures stay stable and the surface looks tidy. The result is a system that grows with your collection. Something that gives control back to the collector. The best part is there is no minimum and no maximum. It really can be as big or as small as you want!

Figure Floor continues to evolve, with new ideas being tested all the time. One thing for sure is that any future piece that is developed will always be backwards compatible so that at no point will someone need to once again start over with their displays.

The goal is simple. Give collectors the tools to build displays they’re proud of.
